Follow The Money: Ukraine's Puppet Yatsenyuk speaks austerity as IMF pulls his strings

By Bill Cisowski

I think if we look deeper today we see that Prime Minister Yatsenyuk, while wearing the mask of change and improvement for Ukraine, has shows his true colors.
In his recent BBC HARD talk interview Yatsenyuk said that if Russia "wages war" on Ukraine, it will "resist and retaliate."
Now if we follow the money, we can gain insight into the dark objective of an operative of the European Central Bank and the war material mobsters who rule him.
The goal, of course, is the age-old dialectic of steering Ukraine into conflict with Russia. This would achieve Four objectives.  First weaken Russia and Putin.  Second provide profits from war material. Third, increase Ukraine's debt that would now be owned by the European Central Bank.  Forth, use war to increase debt in a bid to eventually  lay claim to Ukraine's rich resources.
When debt is owned, then war is always the banker's rich harvest drawn from the blood of the ignorant.
A war crisis would also provide propaganda cover for the global financial mess the oligarch's own greed had created.
It is no surprise that even at this early stage Yatsenyuk's masters at the IMF have simultaneously thrown their net of austerity over the people of Ukraine. Yatsenyuk made it clear in his recent speech that his government will continue the IMF policy of austerity measures “as the price of independence”.
But a few bloggers around the world recognize this fraud and are familiar with this age-old dialectic scheme.  Let's all begin to follow the money.  It becomes clear this coup d'etat fiasco was engineered precisely to assign EU debt on to Ukraine for the four purposes outlined above.  But most of all, debt assigned and created through war is for the purpose of controlling a nation's true wealth in its resources. I guess Yatsenyuk cannot hide his oligarch stripes.

According to the Guardian newspaper, in the past,  Mr. Yatsenyuk has held several high-profile positions including head of the nation's central bank, the National Bank of Ukraine, foreign minister and parliamentary speaker but he has played down his banker-connected origins.

Ukraine Moves Quickly To Stop Counter Protests

The U.S. State Department and western banking interests which helped finance the overthrow of Ukraine's government are now digging their claws in to keep the illusion of order aglow before the rest of the watching world.  Newly installed Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk may not be able to keep the unpopular coupe afloat without the brute force of hired mercenaries who will police the people and keep a firm hand on future street protests.
VOICE OF RUSSIA SAYS:
Media reports claiming that the Ukrainian leadership wants to recruit personnel from private foreign military companies "in order to maintain law and order" may suggest that the Kiev regime wants to suppress civil protest and discontent, the Russian Foreign Ministry said. "Anyway, one can state that in the absence of support from the Ukrainian population, the Maidan government has only one option if it wants to remain in power - to mobilize any support possible from foreign sponsors, including foreign mercenaries," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a commentary.

Former President Gorbachev Speaks On Crimea Takeover

The will of the citizens always seems to prevail.
Is this a good thing?  Perhaps not for the Western interests and NATO who were caught stirring up protests earlier last month in the eastern part of the country.
In last Sunday's internationally monitored elections Crimea has chosen to side with Russia.  The country as a whole, despite criticism from the Western internationalists has now consolidated their people in a common national pride.
In this article from The Moscow Times, former Soviet President Gorbachev seems to agree:
From The Moscow Times
Mar. 18 2014 11:01

Former Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev has defended Russia's takeover of Crimea, saying that the referendum among the peninsula's voters corrected a historical "mistake."
"While Crimea had previously been joined to Ukraine based on the Soviet laws, which means [Communist] party laws, without asking the people, now the people themselves have decided to correct that mistake," Gorbachev said on Monday, Interfax reported.
"This should be celebrated, not sanctioned," he said.
Gorbachev, the recipient of the 1990 Nobel Peace Prize, added that international sanctions — such as those the U.S. and European nations have brought against Russia — would be justified only on "very serious grounds," which he said the takeover of Crimea had failed to provide.
Crimea was part of Russia until Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev handed it over to Ukraine in 1954, in a symbolic gesture that had little significance at the time since both countries were part of the Soviet Union.
In 1991, the leader of the Russian Soviet Republic, Boris Yeltsin, and his counterparts from Ukraine and Belarus signed a deal breaking up the Soviet Union and establishing new independent states. Gorbachev did not participate in the 1991 meeting.
Many Russians have used Crimea's history as a reason to legitimate Russian military intervention in the peninsula, which harbors a 60 percent Russian-speaking population and voted in favor of joining Russia in Sunday's referendum.

US and EU Are Paying Ukrainian Rioters and Protesters

By Paul Craig Roberts
Infowars.com
February 18, 2014

A number of confirmations have come in from readers that Washington is fueling the violent protests in Ukraine with our taxpayer dollars. Washington has no money for food stamps or to prevent home foreclosures, but it has plenty of money with which to subvert Ukraine.

One reader wrote: “My wife, who is of Ukrainian nationality, has weekly contact to her parents and friends in Zhytomyr [NW Ukraine]. According to them, most protesters get an average payment of 200-300 grivna, corresponding to about 15-25 euro. As I additionally heard, one of the most active agencies and ‘payment outlets’ on EU side is the German ‘Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’, being closely connected to the CDU, i.e. Mrs. Merkel’s party.”

Johannes Loew of the Internet site elynitthria.net/ writes: “I am just back from Ukraine (I live in Munich/Germany) and I was a lot at the Maidan. Most of those people get only 100 grivna. 300 is for Students.”

As I reported on February 12, “Washington Orchestrated Protests Are Destabilizing Ukraine,”http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/02/12/washington-orchestrated-protests-destabilizing-ukraine/Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland, a rabid Russophobe and neoconservative warmonger, told the National Press Club last December that the US has “invested” $5 billion in organizing a network to achieve US goals in Ukraine in order to give “Ukraine the future it deserves.”http://www.informationclearinghouse.info/article37599.htm Nuland is the Obama regime official who was caught red-handed naming the members of the Ukrainian government Washington intends to impose on the Ukrainian people once the paid protesters have unseated the current elected and independent government.

What Nuland means by Ukraine’s future under EU overlordship is for Ukraine to be looted like Latvia and Greece and to be used by Washington as a staging ground for US missile bases against Russia.

From the responses I received to my request for confirmations of the information sent to me from Moldova, http://www.paulcraigroberts.org/2014/02/14/russia-attack-paul-craig-roberts/ there is enough evidence that Washington fomented the violent riots for western newspapers and TV channels to investigate. But they haven’t. As we know, the presstitutes are enablers of Washington’s crimes and duplicities. However, the US media has reported that the Ukrainian government is paying Ukrainians to rally in favor of the government. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/world/2014/02/16/ukraine-government-protests/5435315/ The Ukrainian government will have a hard time matching Washington’s $5 billion.
As Karl Marx wrote, money turns everything into a commodity that is bought and sold. I wouldn’t be surprised if some protesters are working both sides of the street.

Of course, not all of the protesters are paid. There are plenty of gullible dupes in the streets who think they are protesting Ukraine government corruption. I have heard from several. There is little doubt that the Ukraine government is corrupt. What government isn’t?

Government corruption is universal, but it is easy to go from the frying pan into the fire. Ukrainian protesters seem to think that they can escape corruption by joining the EU. Obviously, these gullible dupes are unfamiliar with the report on EU corruption issued February 3 by the EU Commissioner for Home Affairs. The report says that a business-political nexus of corruption affects all 28 EU member countries and costs the EU economies $162.2 billion per annum.http://www.aljazeera.com/news/europe/2014/02/eu-report-corruption-widespread-bloc-20142313322401478.html According to the World Bank, the economic cost of EU corruption is almost as large as the size of Ukrainian GDP. http://data.worldbank.org/country/ukraine Clearly, Ukrainians will not escape corruption by joining the EU. Indeed, Ukrainians will suffer worse corruption.

I have no objection to Ukrainians protesting government corruption. Indeed, such gullible people could benefit from the lesson they would learn once their country is in the hands of corrupt Brussels and Washington. What I object to is the lack of awareness on the part of the protesters that by permitting themselves to be manipulated by Washington, they are pushing the world toward a dangerous war. I would be surprised if Russia is content to have US military and missile bases in Ukraine.

It was fools like Nuland playing the great game that gave us World War I. World War III would be the last war. Washington’s drive to exploit every opportunity to establish its hegemony over the world is driving us all to nuclear war.

Like Nuland, a significant percentage of the population of western Ukraine are Russophobes. I know the case for Ukrainian dislike of Russia, but Ukrainian emotions fueled with Washington’s money should not direct the course of history. No historians will be left to document how gullible and witless Ukrainians set the world up for destruction.

Letters Flood Office Of Prime Minister Stephen Harper

From Winnipeg Free Press

OTTAWA - The Harper government was flooded with angry letters from Canadians after it opposed the Palestinian bid for statehood at the United Nations, newly disclosed documents show.
More than 1,000 letters arrived over several weeks in late 2012 and early 2013 at the offices of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, Foreign Affairs Minister John Baird and several other Conservative MPs, the vast majority of them complaining that the government was not representing the balanced and fair-minded views of Canadian citizens on the divisive Middle East issue.

Hillary Drama Builds While Christie Sinks

by Bill Cisowski

Never was there such a media blitz unleashed last week nipping New Jersey's Gov. Chris Christie's campaign in the bud.  Like a comic slapsick, just when one flap dies down, up pops another scandal.  Is the whole thing scripted?  Of course it is.  So sit back and enjoy the show.

Look, I am no fan of these political characters but the show seems interesting this year.  A bit over-staged perhaps, but what do you think?  Those who monitor the Twitter feed are catching on to the obvious script.   Go figure...a landslide of week-long TV specials and slick magazine layouts about Christie's closed bridge. Then page two, Hurricane Sandy mismanagement, and yes stay tuned, there's more.

Meanwhile Hillary lays low, waiting in the wings for her part.  The heroine is ready for her big entrance where she will be celebrated and lauded by the sidemen masquerading as TV news. Hillary's Bengahzi standown must go unreported and buried, and it remains shrouded in mystery .  Keep them guessing, and after all who cares---and "what does it really matter?"  Listen, mistakes were made, okay?  Nobody is perfect and nobody is to blame here.  Let the dead rest in peace.  And look, doesn't she appear stunning and presidential?

You don't recognize anything fishy because that's your part in the drama.  You just enjoy the show, and when it's over you buy it.  You just buy it, but maybe a few realize the fix is in.  A few know Christie was just another clown playing his assigned role and used to spice up the show.  The idea that any of these characters has anything to do with real life issues is the illusion you're expected to buy.  That's your part.

The made-for-TV plot goes something like this...first we build up Christie as the fat comic character playing the role of dying male-dominated power crippled by scandal, while Hillary will emerge and enter the stage as the strong commanding woman who will change the world.  Hillary as the first woman president is just what may capture the ratings.  The idea of the "first woman president" will be the media mantra and will overshadow any story about past Arkansas skeletons.

What could be more dramatic?  With a little  lighting and makeup we can pull it off?  And this time the 2016 campaign will contain a little entertainment?  The middle-class public is ready for a new circus after suffering the weight of new taxation under the Obama regime.

Nullification Movement Threatens Washington Tyranny

When common sense finally kicks in..

By Bill Cisowski

Well its amazing but true, common sense has finally won a small victory over the NSA juggarnaunt...you know, that privacy-destroying force regarded as mercilessly destructive and unstoppable.

Yet state's rights as offered in the U.S. Constitution has begun a resurgence in popularity. In this entertaining video narrated by James Corbett, we are reminded that clear thinkers and freedom lovers still exist.

State officials may seem like David ready to slug it out with Goliath, but the above video may indicate  they are not afraid to take action even in the face of some of the most phony and fearsome media faces such as Rachel Maddow and Anderson Cooper.

Doggonit people are actually reading and thinking for themselves.  That's not good for the controlled propaganda masters who crank out their daily deposit on you.  Might they soon fail to maintain their continued conditioning of the public?  Might you stop believing that evil is good--and good is evil.  Here's more...

Global Warming Research Freezes In Antarctic Ice

From IBD

Cold Climate: In an event chock-full of bitterly cold irony, perhaps even Al Gore has noticed that multiple icebreakers couldn't free a boat stuck in Antarctic ice that global warming was supposed to have melted.
Few of the media reports on the plight of the Russian-flagged research vessel MV Akademik Schokalskiy have noted the irony of a ship full of climate scientists getting stuck in an Antarctic ice sheet so thick that early attempts at breaking through the ice to free them were failures.

Hillary Jump Starts 16's Campaign

By Bill Cisowski

Hillary announces formally.  I think the strategy is backed by years of experience.  She will eliminate the opposition by sucking up the campaign money early.  This is the old James Carville move.  Second is the assurance that the masses of brain-dead followers will rally to her, giving just the backdrop of illusion that the masses expect.

Hillary can own the talk show circuit and she will be celebrated in the controlled media.  Our biggest question of course, is can she keep all those skeletons hidden?  Of course she can--with the help of media owners who will make sure nothing ever surfaces on mainstream television.

The opposition will be internet researchers and bloggers where every lie and crime, including Benghazi, will be repeated globally.

Sadly, I predict a victory for Hillary and more dark austerity for main street which of course is the planned blueprint for massive destabilization of the West.  Follow me on twitter for more insights....

YOU LIKE THAT DRONE? YOU CAN KEEP IT

By Bill Cisowski

More Drones Less Foodstamps

Hey lets allow history to repeat itself!   That’s the solution most Republicans in Congress have this morning.  Looking back at history and considering how the Congress handled a similar economic crisis back in1929 we see their old reactionary mantra never sounds a different note.

When the economy is contracting, politicians say cut spending and contract it more.  You get good results extending the pain for those dog-gone poor folk.  Certainly the problem must be food stamps or unemployment payouts…or maybe even veteran’s pensions…certainly not foreign aid, global war financing, or daily doses of drone assassinations.

Yet there is certainly hope on the horizon.  We can look to the Tea Party favorites, you know, those favored and brilliant stars of the genocidal undertaking of austerity.  Such stars as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul who are willing to lead this surrealist comedy.

Meanwhile the ancient bought-out and sold-out and worn-out Republican Party remains a dried up limb waiting to be lopped off.  How did they ever get so left behind and clueless?  I’ll save that one for tomorrow’s blog.

I think the big question and challenge today is:  What will Republicans and Democrats and Obamacrats do when nothing they say can be believed?  Let’s read Orwell’s vision again.

There is a cry for leadership and representation in Washington?  But leadership not there.  Come 2016 who will lead this wind-swept Babylon, desolate and full of jackals and sinister creatures, crouched behind computer screens, monitoring predator drones in search of more enemies to keep the matrix humming?

Rahm Emanuel's Chicago Deep In Pension Crisis

From ft.com

Rahm Emanuel, Chicago’s Democratic mayor, has said school closures – along with 3,000 job cuts in the school system – were necessary to close the yawning hole in the district budget. The episode has further soured the mayor’s relations with the teachers union, which held a seven-day strike last year. Karen Lewis, head of the union, called the school closures “racist” and “classist”.
The woes of the city and the state of Illinois – which has its own, worst-in-the-nation, $100bn unfunded pension liability – have been driven primarily by the government’s failure to pay its share to keep its pension promises.

Congress Gets Access To 911 Secrets

Are the 911 myths finally unraveling?

Congressmembers Walter B. Jones (R-N.C.) and Stephen Lynch (D-Mass) recently got access to unredacted copies of the 2002 report of the Joint Intelligence Committee Inquiry (JICI) on 9/11.

Their reactions have been reported and all of the three publications linked below.

You may remember that 28 pages of that document had been redacted by George W. Bush for “national security purposes”. It has been widely reported that the 28 missing pages of the JICI report document a money trail that leads from the Saudi Royal Family to the 9/11 hijackers.  This story can only get bigger.

Now CBS News, The New York Post, Press TV are all reporting the same story.

Israel's Deal For New Settlements

By Naharnet

According to Naharnet Newsdesk article a few hours ago, Israel will reveal plans to build 1,400 settler homes in the West Bank and in East Jerusalem to coincide with the weekend release of Palestinian prisoners, military radio said Friday.

A third batch of Palestinian prisoners is due to be released on Sunday as part of conditions that Israel agreed to when it committed to resume U.S.-brokered peace talks with the Palestinians in July.

Palestinians have warned repeatedly that settlement building destroys the fragile peace process which U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry struggled to revive after a three-year hiatus.

Military radio said 600 new housing units would be build in the existing settlement of Ramat Shlomo in east Jerusalem, a mostly Arab sector annexed by Israel, while the remainder would be constructed in West Bank settlements.

Israel has come in for repeated criticism from the United States and most of the international community for pressing ahead with a drive to build Jewish settlements on land Palestinians want for their future state.

Kerry and the European Union earlier this month urged Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to delay plans to announce new settlement construction.
Media reports quoted US Secretary of State Kerry as telling Netanyahu "to exercise maximum restraint in announcing new construction."
But Netanyahu last week said nothing would stop his government from pushing ahead with the constructions.
"We will not stop, even for a moment, building our country and becoming stronger, and developing... the settlement enterprise," Netanyahu told members of his rightwing Likud party last week.

Futurethink: Does Humanity Overestimate Itself?

Self-Perception, Past and Future: The N.Y. Times’s John Tierney discusses new research showing that people tend to “underestimate how much they will change in the future.”

By JOHN TIERNEY

Published: January 3, 2013   Original Article is at:  http://tinyurl.com/bk8as9t

When we remember our past selves, they seem quite different. We know how much our personalities and tastes have changed over the years. But when we look ahead, somehow we expect ourselves to stay the same, a team of psychologists said Thursday, describing research they conducted of people’s self-perceptions

The End Of History Illusion
They called this phenomenon the “end of history illusion,” in which people tend to “underestimate how much they will change in the future.” According to their research, which involved more than 19,000 people ages 18 to 68, the illusion persists from teenage years into retirement

“Middle-aged people — like me — often look back on our teenage selves with some mixture of amusement and chagrin,” said one of the authors, Daniel T. Gilbert, a psychologist at Harvard. “What we never seem to realize is that our future selves will look back and think the very same thing about us. At every age we think we’re having the last laugh, and at every age we’re wrong.”

Other psychologists said they were intrigued by the findings, published Thursday in the journal Science, and were impressed with the amount of supporting evidence. Participants were asked about their personality traits and preferences — their favorite foods, vacations, hobbies and bands — in years past and present, and then asked to make predictions for the future. Not surprisingly, the younger people in the study reported more change in the previous decade than did the older respondents

But when asked to predict what their personalities and tastes would be like in 10 years, people of all ages consistently played down the potential changes ahead.

Thus, the typical 20-year-old woman’s predictions for her next decade were not nearly as radical as the typical 30-year-old woman’s recollection of how much she had changed in her 20s. This sort of discrepancy persisted among respondents all the way into their 60s.

And the discrepancy did not seem to be because of faulty memories, because the personality changes recalled by people jibed quite well with independent research charting how personality traits shift with age. People seemed to be much better at recalling their former selves than at imagining how much they would change in the future.

Why? Dr. Gilbert and his collaborators, Jordi Quoidbach of Harvard and Timothy D. Wilson of the University of Virginia, had a few theories, starting with the well-documented tendency of people to overestimate their own wonderfulness.

“Believing that we just reached the peak of our personal evolution makes us feel good,” Dr. Quoidbach said. “The ‘I wish that I knew then what I know now’ experience might give us a sense of satisfaction and meaning, whereas realizing how transient our preferences and values are might lead us to doubt every decision and generate anxiety.”

Or maybe the explanation has more to do with mental energy: predicting the future requires more work than simply recalling the past. “People may confuse the difficulty of imagining personal change with the unlikelihood of change itself,” the authors wrote in Science.

The phenomenon does have its downsides, the authors said. For instance, people make decisions in their youth — about getting a tattoo, say, or a choice of spouse — that they sometimes come to regret.

And that illusion of stability could lead to dubious financial expectations, as the researchers showed in an experiment asking people how much they would pay to see their favorite bands.

When asked about their favorite band from a decade ago, respondents were typically willing to shell out $80 to attend a concert of the band today. But when they were asked about their current favorite band and how much they would be willing to spend to see the band’s concert in 10 years, the price went up to $129. Even though they realized that favorites from a decade ago like Creed or the Dixie Chicks have lost some of their luster, they apparently expect Coldplay and Rihanna to blaze on forever.

“The end-of-history effect may represent a failure in personal imagination,” said Dan P. McAdams, a psychologist at Northwestern who has done separate research into the stories people construct about their past and future lives. He has often heard people tell complex, dynamic stories about the past but then make vague, prosaic projections of a future in which things stay pretty much the same.

Dr. McAdams was reminded of a conversation with his 4-year-old daughter during the craze for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in the 1980s. When he told her they might not be her favorite thing one day, she refused to acknowledge the possibility. But later, in her 20s, she confessed to him that some part of her 4-year-old mind had realized he might be right.

“She resisted the idea of change, as it dawned on her at age 4, because she could not imagine what else she would ever substitute for the Turtles,” Dr. McAdams said. “She had a sneaking suspicion that she would change, but she couldn’t quite imagine how, so she stood with her assertion of continuity. Maybe something like this goes on with all of us.”

Mandela a valuable asset

Mandela was certainly a valuable asset for the elite, an essential tool of the banking interests, who in helping dismantle the prosperity of a nation allowed its assets and markets to be broken up and taken over by international interests.  Beware Ukraine, you are now in the same dialectic, the greed and wickedness of this beast knows no limits.

A Note To Brave Russian Friends

By Bill Cisowski

You are smart enough to know a con game when you see one.  I suspect demonstrations seen on media are purchased, staged and exaggerated for the sake of the cameras and a media show invested in by the International Bankers.  Tell them the days of Yeltsin are over.

I wonder, will they collar their "Yoke Of Debt" around the neck of Ukraine?  Once they do, they will loot the land as they have done in the USA and then demand austerity from the people.  This is their well-worn historical pattern.

If you look at Greece you will see the future .  The same global masters who bought off the U.S. Congress and pushed NAFTA and CAFTA through in North America are now gunning for Ukraine.  What a prize it would be for these criminals if you fall for it.  It is the same old EU con game trap all over again.

Pray that Vladimir Putin continues to outsmart them and keeps his good strategy and resistance against these carpetbaggers.  All Russians keep your independence from EU as long as you can.  I pray for your courage even when they eventually move against you with more force to get their way.

Joe Biden in the Far East

By Bill Cisowski

Vice President Biden, Shinzo Abe, Xi Jinping and Lee Myung-bak

This week, Vice President Joe Biden is off to Asia, playing the role of diplomat.  Certainly not the role suited for Washington's classic political lightweight.  According to the A.P., Biden plans to meet with Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.  We wonder, will the on-going Fukushima crisis be mentioned?

The tsunami-damaged reactor has been spewing millions of gallons of radioactive water into the Pacific Ocean for months now with no end in sight.  Without a solution to the crisis, and in what seems like a panic move to prevent information being spread, the Japanese government has introduced "The State Secrets Protection Bill".  Thousands in Tokyo protested the bill last week in fear that the government may hide vital information from them.  The bill, created by Japan's Liberal Democratic Party, seeks to impose stricter penalties on sensitive information that is made public.

Later in the week, Biden will also get together with Chinese President Xi Jinping.  Again, we wonder, will the Vice President have any remark over China implementing its new air defense zone?  As tensions build between China and Japan, Biden will  make his dutiful showing.  His next stop will be a meeting with South Korea's president Lee Myung-bak where he is expected to make a speech touting U.S,-Korean relations and then receive a briefing on North Korea's nuclear status. Business as usual as the world melts down.

Wondering About Senkau Diaoyou

By Bill Cisowski

Is Washington opening up another front in the Far East?  With Syria now on the back burner and the Iran nuclear enrichment talks stalled, Washington, in its ever diligent resolve to keep its war industry humming might now join Japan’s dispute with China over islands in the East China Sea.

When Beijing announced it was setting up an "air defense identification zone" over space that included islands controlled by Japan but claimed by China, it was making a move that could inflame a bitter territorial dispute.  The claim in the East China Sea covers a wide area between South Korea and Taiwan and includes the Tokyo-controlled islands known as the Senkaku to Japan and the Diaoyou to China.

Japanese defense minister Itsunori  Onodera said in late October that the repeated drone incursions were a threat to peace and fell in a "grey zone' (between) peacetime and an emergency situation".  Japan had drafted plans to shoot down foreign drones that encroached its airspace if radio warnings were ignored.

As a response to China's establishment of a new air defense zone, which reaches far into East Asia's international skies, a joint U.S. and Japanese fly-over exercise seemed a distinct warning to China.  We wonder now if the U.S. is preparing once again to involve itself in another conflict.

We wonder also if China, who for years  was called “the sleeping giant”, has finally flexed her muscle.  Is she preparing  to declare her hour of hegemony in the region, that place dominated by the West since the end of World War 2.

It may now seem that the United States, with its increasing debt and an unpopular presidency, is still willing to play the part of the global bully.  This together with Kerry’s blunders in Syria and the stalled Iranian nuclear talks present a picture of a world moving away from peace.

A war-weary public to ask why the West is opening up yet another front—this time in the Far East?  Might The U.S. Financial Oligarchy who for years has wielded influence over American foreign policy be ready to make yet another move to keep its war-dependent economy sustained?

Iran Nuclear Talks

Iran Nuclear Talks: Remembering the Israeli Attack on Iraq’s Peaceful Nuclear Reactor Osirak. Will History Repeat Itself?

Timothy Alexander Guzman, Silent Crow News -

On June 7th, 1981, Israel launched a surprise attack in the Southeast of Bagdad, Iraq that destroyed the Osirak nuclear reactor under construction.  It was known as Operation Opera, an Israeli plan to destroy Iraq’s proposed nuclear reactor that was intended for peaceful scientific research.  Iraq originally purchased the “Osiris”-class nuclear reactor from France in 1976.  Richard Wilson, a Mallinckrodt Research Professor of Physics at Harvard University at the time spoke to The Atlantic, an American based magazine and said that Osirak was “unsuitable for making bombs”.  He said....

Will Obama's legacy be Mid-East peace?

By Bill Cisowski

The opportunity for the Obama White House to move the world closer toward Mid-East peace is now apparent in their recent decision not to launch strikes against Syria even in the face of many critics.  The U.S and Israel, in a bid to topple President Bashar al-Assad had been waging a mercenary war in the region for months.  The whole world watched as the use of chemical weapons was blamed on Syria and Iran, a charge that most internet-savvy bloggers did not buy.

Serious questions quickly arose concerning who was to blame for these attacks.  Obama, to his credit, stood firm in the face of Netanyahu's "redline rhetoric".  The result became a new opportunity for peace talks as Iran's newly-elected president Hassan Rouhani came forth with new concessions on Iran's nuclear program.

The question remains, will U.S. lawmakers and their business community supporters  favor lifting of sanctions against Iran in an effort to encourage further peace initiatives?

Obama, who is now taking the heat from Obamacare failures, may yet salvage his legacy by displaying courage in a peace initiative even the face of current critics.
