YOU LIKE THAT DRONE? YOU CAN KEEP IT

By Bill Cisowski

More Drones Less Foodstamps

Hey lets allow history to repeat itself!   That’s the solution most Republicans in Congress have this morning.  Looking back at history and considering how the Congress handled a similar economic crisis back in1929 we see their old reactionary mantra never sounds a different note.

When the economy is contracting, politicians say cut spending and contract it more.  You get good results extending the pain for those dog-gone poor folk.  Certainly the problem must be food stamps or unemployment payouts…or maybe even veteran’s pensions…certainly not foreign aid, global war financing, or daily doses of drone assassinations.

Yet there is certainly hope on the horizon.  We can look to the Tea Party favorites, you know, those favored and brilliant stars of the genocidal undertaking of austerity.  Such stars as Ted Cruz and Rand Paul who are willing to lead this surrealist comedy.

Meanwhile the ancient bought-out and sold-out and worn-out Republican Party remains a dried up limb waiting to be lopped off.  How did they ever get so left behind and clueless?  I’ll save that one for tomorrow’s blog.

I think the big question and challenge today is:  What will Republicans and Democrats and Obamacrats do when nothing they say can be believed?  Let’s read Orwell’s vision again.

There is a cry for leadership and representation in Washington?  But leadership not there.  Come 2016 who will lead this wind-swept Babylon, desolate and full of jackals and sinister creatures, crouched behind computer screens, monitoring predator drones in search of more enemies to keep the matrix humming?
